Best Weekend Tour Destinations in India
Are you feeling overstressed in your daily schedule? I guess it is a common situation in present-day urban lifestyle. Most of us are now suffering from serious health and mental problems like depression, obesity, and many more; curtsy- our super busy lifestyle. So, there is every reason to break this monotony pretty regularly. And for that we have to go for small tours or rather I can say for weekend tours. But sometimes it is quite difficult to find a proper location for a short trip, as the locations are not much popular. Though there are many locations available at our doorsteps which are yet to achieve proper mention. Here are two such places of different types to suit your personal choice.
Murti

Murti is a small village by the side of river Murti, in Dooars. It is ideally a picnic spot for the local residents; however, there are few bungalows there where you can stay. The place is famous for its scenic beauty. The Dooars area of West Bengal is famous for its lush green forests and tea gardens. The Murti village is also no exception of these properties. You can enjoy the beauty of Khuniya forest from this place. At night, the wild beasts come to Murti River for drinking water. You can enjoy a glimpse of wild elephants or bison from the balcony of your bungalow.

How to reach

Murti can be reached by Kanchankanya express which runs from Sealdah to Mall junction. From Mall Junction Murti is 18KM. You can also go to Murti from New Jalpaiguri. The distance is 75 KM. Private cars or taxis are available at Mall junction or Jalpaiguri to take you to Murti.
