Man Vs. Wild- A fight for honey goes for centuries
The land of Mangroves, the land of Royal Bengal tigers is also popular for pure honey. The poor folks of Sunderban risk their lives every day to collect honey from the deep forest in order to earn bread and butter for their families. The traditional name of these honey-collectors are “mouaals”. The mouaals harvest 16,000 maunds of honey each year and along the way they braved fierce tigers, dangerous crocodiles, poisonous snakes and many other ferocious wild beasts.
