Sinquerim Beach – A place to replenish yourself
“Do you like to have a bottle bear?”
My uncle looked at my brothers face and waited for his response. My brother gave a nod of yes.
My uncle asked – “is it chilled?”
The owner of the shag said – “Absolutely! You sit there I’m sending three bottles..”
I said – “Not for me … I would take a bottle of coke..but not now..first let me take some pictures.”

We had just visited Fort Aguada. The driver of our car who was also acting as our guide took us to Sinquerim Beach, adjacent to the fort. We could see the fort Aguada from the beach. We had a lot of physical exhaustion while exploring the fort, so this place looked preface to replenish our energy source.

Sinquerim is the name of a coastal village of north Goa and highly popular among foreign tourists. The overall crowd is not as thick as Calangute which contributes to its pristine ambiance. The white sand and a perfect sky blue tone of the sea create a colour scheme which almost as perfect as a painting. The backdrop of green coconut trees adds another visual dimension to this “C” shaped beach.
I found a group of boys were playing volleyball on the beach. I watched them for a while. Listened to the language.

I headed towards the northern side of the beach, a less crowded zone. Unlike Calangute I found few moving ships on the sea.

The beach is also a good place for swimming and various activities related to water sports. I noticed people taking rides of water scooter and banana boats. Those who were more adventurous strapping on a parachute and sailing into the sky.

The Taj hotel just sits on the beach overlooking the sea. The hotel has a small beach of its own. I could imagine a stay in this hotel would serve an enticing view of the sea.
The place has got plenty of beach shakes which provide good food. Just sit under the shade stare at the sea. Watch life in motion. You would find yourself revitalized for your journey to your next destination.
