A Trip to Rumtek Monastery
Last week we visited Rumtek Monastery. It was one of my many dreams which hit the reality last week. Obviously, I was super excited then. Now let me share my beautiful experiences with you. But first, some info time:
Rumtek monastery is located in Indian state Sikkim. It is also known as Dharmachakra center and is actually a Buddhist Gompa near the capital of Sikkim Gangtok. It was built under the supervision of Changchub Dorje, 12th Karmapa Lama in the mid-1700s and served as the main seat of the Karma Kagyu lineage in Sikkim.

How to Reach Rumtek Monastery:
You can hire any local taxi from Gangtok to reach Rumtek Monastery. A fully reserved car will charge around INR 1200-2000. If you want to share your cab then the charge will be Rs 150 per person.
