Ema Datshi with Pan fried Chicken and Sautéed French Beans and Cherry Tomato
Ema Datshi is Bhutan’s National Dish, meaning Chili with cheese. Here are the ingredients list and method of cooking the recipe.
Ingredients:
Ema Datshi
1. Refined Oil- 1/2 tbsp
2. Garlic- 1 tbsp
3. Onion julienne- 1/2 cup
4. Tomato julienne- 1/2 cup
5. Capsicum- 1/2 cup
6. Cheese- 6 cubes
7. Red chilies- 1 tbsp
Pan fried Chicken
1. Italian mixed herbs- 1/2 tsp
2. Paprika- 1/2 tsp
3. Black pepper- as per taste
4. Salt- as per taste
5. Flour- 1 cup
6. Chopped parsley- 1/2 tbsp
7. Chicken breast- 250 gms.
Sautéed French Beans and Cherry Tomato
1. Cherry tomato- 100 gms
2. Green Beans- 100 gms
3.Refined Oil- 1/2 tbsp
4. Salt- 1 pinch
5. Pepper- 1 pinch
Method:
Ema Datshi
1. Chop the garlic and shallow fry it in a very little oil.
2. Add the other vegetables and shallow fry.
3.Add water.
4. After some minutes of boiling, add chilies.
5. Add cheese cubes when the vegetables are soft.
Pan fried chicken
1. Season the flour with salt, pepper, paprika, parsley and mixed herbs.
2. Add three spoons of oil in a flat pan.
3. Cut the half chicken breast lengthwise.
4. Coat the pieces with season flour and pan fry it.
Sautéed French Beans and Cherry Tomato
1. Boil water with a pinch of salt.
2. Boil the green beans and transfer it to cold water immediately to retain the colour.
3. Add a little oil and sauté the french beans and cherry tomatoes.
4. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
